Coming from a close-knit traditional family, art in all forms were always part of my life. It was the power of expression, hidden behind the simplicity of colors and forms, that excited me the most. Gradually, I evolved my own style of painting which was fundamentally Indian in subject, spirit and expression. But after moving to Canada in 2014, the extraordinarily beautiful nature however captured my heart and couldn’t stop me from painting the ever-mesmerizing sunsets.
I have worked in many different mediums, such as clay, acrylics, oils, watercolors, stain glass and pastels. I believe that working in a single medium is restrictive to my artistic process. Each idea manifests in its own individual style. I love to work with different textures as well. Like Burlap, ply, fabric and such.
I believe that art is the very essence of life. I find my inspiration from the life around me. As Plato says, "Creativity is the result of divine inspiration". I enjoy being in the company of Mother Nature in my spare time and many of my pieces are directly influenced by the nature. I love recreating sunsets in my work the most.
